The start of the next ICAR Conference is fast approaching and is set to take place 6-8 June 2016 in Milano-Bicocca University. We invite you to consult the Congress website - www.icar2016.it - where you will find the scientific programme and all the activities planned.
As you know, ICAR grown rapidly in number of participants, abstracts (with 366 abstracts received, this year we have reached the record of all ICAR editions) and quality of the submissions. In the three days of the Conference we expect around 1.500 participants among physicians, researchers, members of patient associations and health professionals.
This year’s congress will once again provide a wide range of topics including basic science, clinical, virology and significant contributions from the Community of patient associations: 46 Scientific Sessions, 6 Keynote Lectures, 85 Oral Communications, 28 Poster Discussions, 3 Advances Courses.
A central feature of ICAR 2016 is the contribution of Italian young researchers, who will present mainly original works during the various sessions. To support young researchers, the conference will host the new edition of the ICAR-CROI Awards and other prizes granted by SIMIT and SIVIM.
In addition, special events are planned: RaccontART, the art competition launched by ICAR to students who are invited to present their views on HIV/AIDS through various forms of expression; HIV and HCV Tests, free rapid tests performed during the Congress at the request of citizens as confidential and anonymous; Piazza ICAR, where artists will paint original works and the Community Village to visit HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis patient association booths and to meet Community activists.
Special thanks to the Scientific Secretariat and the Referees for their commitment, to the schools and students and to our sponsors who enabled us to involve and host hundreds of young researchers and representatives of the Community of patient associations.
We look forward to welcoming you for this truly unique occasion of scientific and social exchange!
Arrivederci a Milano!
